@toyoracing89 From the EcoBoost. It’s just like any other turbocharged vehicle. It doesn’t take much to make power, and usually the restraints are in the intake and exhaust since adding turbochargers to a motor makes more noise, they have to baffle and silance all they can.

@NissanTy I don’t see the point of the 6.2. I’m sure that in a few small months after the aftermarket had their chances to catch up, a simple cold air intake, and exhaust would push it somewhere north of 380HP
@guinmaan I’ve driven the 5 litre, it doesnt feel much different then the 5.4 litre. id choose the ecoboost.
what kind of mpgs does the ecoboost get?
why don’t they make a eco boost 6.2l?

@Motorfordtoyota How can any truck fan be a Toyota lover, Have you driven any of the north american trucks. The Toyota is years behind in ride, drive, tech features and quality and the ford is leaps ahead of gm and dodge.
@NissanTy I would prefer the 5.0l myself. I doubt that the eco boost will come close to selling as much as it is more costly.
@Motorfordtoyota well isn’t that special. If you place an atv in your turdra a few times I doubt you’d be very pleased with the results….
that sucks that the 6.2 is only offered in the high end models… in that case i bet ford will sell the shit out of the eco boost f150′s over the 5.0 and 3.7.

Its so hard, I LOVE the new f150 with these engines. But, I am probably the BIGGEST Toyota lover ever. So, obviously, the Tundra 5.7 is my fav truck!

@304teddy ….gee I would reckon that a smart guy like you would realize the 5.0 version in the F150 isn’t ‘detuned’. The 5.0 in the mustang on reg. fuel makes 402 hp. Obviously the F150 purposed 5.0 or 6.2 will be tuned to run on reg. fuel, and will have a wider more available torque band at low rpms for typical truck duties. This but will not look as excellent on paper with the lower peak values, but in real world situations, the heavier truck is better off in this configuration.
i had no gripe with the 4.6 or 5.4, the latter had some guts in such a heavy truck, but i agree its about time ford showed the world just how excellent of a(n) engine(s) theyre truly capable of building

@day10020 cont. i have a bachelor degree in engineering and probably made more last year than you have in the last 4. i have more than earned the right to criticize ford by spending ALOT ofmy hard earned money on their products. the only 4.6 that was worth a damn was the 4 valves. the two valves were gutless(the 302 and 351)were much better engines. the three valve was adequate. the terminator 4.6 were but badass. fuck off loser.
@day10020 read much bitch? i currently own an 05 f350,(mechanics truck for my business)a lifted and tuned 08 f250 CCSB(personal vehicle), a 94 cobra that runs 9s on pump gas(still a loaded street car) a 95 cobra (street legal but mostly my roadrace car), my wife has an 08 ford expedition, a 93 f250 rock crawler/mudder and finally a jeep grand cherokee takes me to my second job. i own a small business and and hold a job working union construction part time.
i despise these nazi pricks like the EPA. first they took away our two stroke motocross bikes and forced us onto those 4-stroke jokes. now ford is forcing us into a 6 cylinder POS if you want the best performance. the 5.0 and the 6.2 should be the top engines not a 6 cylinder piece of shit. take the direct injection technology place it on a V8 and give us what we want.
